As Shari and I caravaned from Bakersfield, California to Redding, California yesterday, we stopped for gas in Madera. We had two vehicles to transport four people, one dog and a bunch of stuff. I opted to ride with the dog while Shari rode with our oldest daughter, Taylor, and the grand baby. I'm pretty sure I got the better end of the deal. At the time of the stop, neither vehicle was in sight of each other and with a little miscommunication, we wound up at different gas stations. I got ahead when the girls stopped to use the restroom. After feeding the vehicles, Zoe the dog needed to do a little business while waiting for the girls to find us. That's when I spotted the Mammoth. As mammoths go, it was fairly small. How would I know that?
