The Day Didn't Go Quite As Planned
Today was my last vacation day of 2014. Yesterday, I noticed that the oil maintenance light was on and since I'm long past dinking with vehicles, I took the truck in to have it looked at. I took the camera with me thinking I would walk around downtown Bakersfield, California for an hour or two while waiting for the truck. Five hours later, I drove home. It's my fault, Shari gave me plenty of opportunities to be picked up.
I kept thinking...okay, that was the problem...I kept thinking! It wasn't a total wasted day though. I shot 96 photos, got to see some strange people, watched the City Station No. 1 Fire Department respond to three calls and got to pee in the City Attorney's office. Well, not exactly the office, but, the building. The City Attorney is important to me. That's where Shari was working in 1988 when I met her.
Also, I figured out where the transformer is located that supplies power to the H Street and California Avenue signal light controller. You just never know when you might need that piece of information.
