Jacques La Flipper started designing games out of sheer boredom. One he came up with was River Pinball. Boats were sent down the river using a spring launcher. Pilots were not allowed to steer the boats in any manner other than having the crew run from side to side to redistribute weight. The object was to enter the locks separating sea water and fresh water while the gate was open. The sailors thought it was great fun. Management was not happy.
