The White Man was sitting in Port Orchard sipping a whiskey and thinking to himself that the Suquamish Tribe wasn't doing anything with that land across the bay. So, he got his buddy, Bill Bremer, and formulated the Treaty of Point Elliot which allowed the White Man to settle the land and establish Bremerton. Naturally, the White Man made out like bandits. The Suquamish Tribe got to put in a few gambling casinos.
