How would you feel if I came into your home and desecrated the walls with my personal graffiti? Or, I took my felt marker or knife and drew across some of your art? This shallow sandstone cave contains drawings attributed to the Chumash Indians over a period of 200 - 1000 years. There is evidence of graffiti beginning with early white settlers. Now, a protective physical barrier adorns the cave entrance which allows the public to look, but, not touch.
