In the 1690s, Henry Every was busy plying his trade. Actually, he only worked two years, but, managed to make a name for himself and influenced the entry of many men into the pirate business. Around 1695, Henry captured the Fateh Muhammed and the Ganj-i-sawai in the Arabian Sea making way with £600,000 in precious metals and jewels. That was approximately £52.4m in 2010.
The "King of Pirates" disappeared in 1696 never to be heard from again. The house in the photo was built in 1697 (just kidding).
